The AHOY.COM eCalendar Web Solution streamlines online event publishing and scheduling for an Intranet or Internet Web site. The eCalendar allows organizations to quickly add and update events in a dynamic, online schedule and delegate event management to one or more administrators.

A single eCalendar Super Administrator has control of all events and access accounts. The Super Administrator can dynamically create accounts and delegate event administration to others. Event Administrators can login from any computer connected to the Intranet or Internet and manage just his or her events.

Like all AHOY.COM solutions, the eCalendar pages are integrated seamlessly into a new or existing Web site design and are built to evolve in unison with the rest of the Web site. The database of eCalendar content is administered via any Web browser connected to the Internet.

Display of the eCalendar
  • The eCalendar main page displays an icon of the current month and a list of the scheduled events.
  • Clicking on a day within the month icon focuses the window on the events of that day.
  • Visitors can search for events by keyword, month/year or category.
  • An event title links to an expanded event description displayed in a separate pop-up window.
  • The eCalendar solution includes a built-in registration interface that is automatically displayed on an event page if the registration option is selected when the event detail is added to the database.
  • Visitors can browse events in a future month by selecting that month's icon.
Management of Events in the eCalendar
  • Administrators of events are issued an account which restricts their access to only events they create and have permission to update.
  • A preview feature enables the administrator to review an event detail page prior to moving it to production.
  • Event information can be repurposed as needed. This is useful when adding a reoccurring event to the database.
  • Photos can be uploaded by the administrator and associated with an event.
  • Events can be "color-coded".
Super Administration of the eCalendar
  • The super administrator account controls all eCalendar database content.
  • The super administrator can create event administrator accounts.
  • The eCalendar can be configured to require that events added to the database are approved by the super administrator prior to activation.
Standard Setup
  • Select the colors of the eCalendar text and navigation font.
  • Add a logo image that will be displayed in the upper left hand corner of monthly eCalendar pages.
Enhanced Customization
  • eCalendar Web pages are template based, enabling us to alter the appearance and layout of the pages to a client's specific needs.
  • Customized integration of eCalendar and event information within an existing Web site.
